In 2006, the QI Group acquired Cimier, an 85-year-old watch manufacturer based in Switzerland. The Cimier brand then became a part of the QI Group’s luxury product division. Cimier is found in 14 countries worldwide and produces the BH Mayer range of timepieces that are sold exclusively through QuestNet, the QI Group’s direct selling subsidiary. Cimier was also recently invited to participate and exhibit at BASELWORLD, the premier annual watch and jewellery show which was held at Basel, Switzerland, from March 18-25.

Among QI delegates who attended this prestigious event was Director of International Operations Mr. Richard Zinkiewicz, Regional Director for Europe Ms. Judith Reyes and QuestNet Managing Director Mr. JR Mayer. BASELWORLD gave them a chance to see some 2000 companies from the watch, jewellery, precious-stone industries and other related sectors, showcasing the latest innovations, designs and technology in watch-making.

The gathering was also an ideal networking platform to forge valuable personal contacts in an exclusive business atmosphere.

QI delegates also had a chance to visit the recently opened Cimier flagship store in Zurich. A unique feature of the store is the clock mounted atop the storefront which is a replica of the Seven Seas Chrono model. This clock weighs 200 pounds, has a diameter of 90cm, and an illuminated dial. It was handmade by a family business in Switzerland that specialises in creating clock replicas of prominent brands, and took 6 months to produce at a cost of USD 20,000.

Cimier is reknowned for its watch-making knowledge, passion for details and state of the art production. To learn more about the brand, please visit www.cimier.com
