Cimier was also recently invited to participate and exhibit at BASELWORLD, the premier annual watch and jewellery show which was held at Basel, Switzerland, from March 18-25.

In a recent press conference in Bahrain, QI subsidiary, QuestNet, announced its sponsorship of Team QI-Meritus.Mahara for the third year since the inception of the GP2 Asia Racing Series. The 2010 GP2 Asia series lines up 12 teams from all over the world, and Team QI-Meritus.Mahara is the only team from Asia racing against other Europe-based teams.

The QI Group did its bit towards the worldwide relief efforts in Haiti, post the devastating earthquake that ripped through the capital of Port-au-Prince on January 12, 2010. The first earthquake was of a catastrophic magnitude 7.0 Mw. By January 24, at least 52 aftershocks measuring 4.5 or greater had been recorded. An estimated three million people have been affected by this catastrophe.

QI staff in Malaysia set the festive mood for 40 residents of Ci Hang-Chempaka Welfare Home, an old folks home in the Klang Valley, when they dropped by to celebrate the Lunar New Year with them. The event was organised by Vijayaratnam Foundation - the Malaysian Chapter of RYTHM Foundation, which is the corporate social responsibility arm of the QI Group of Companies, and sponsored by QuestNet Malaysia.

Malaysia, 5 September 2009 - In his latest column titled 'The Millennium Belongs To Asia', which appeared in Malaysia's New Straits Times, Executive Chairman of the QI Group, Dato' Vijay Eswaran said, "The common threads holding Asia together are its values and work ethic, making it very attractive for the West to do business here. Wawasan QI Properties Sdn Bhd, the property arm of the QI Group of Companies in Malaysia, appointed Y.B.M. Tengku Dato' Sri Azlan Ibni Almarhum Sultan Abu Bakar as its Chairman on 13 July 2009.

QI Services (M) Sdn Bhd, the Operational Head Quarters (OHQ) of the QI Group of Companies, appointed Tan Sri Megat Najmuddin Khas, widely considered, one of the foremost personalities on regulatory and corporate governance matters, as its Chairman on June 24, 2009. At an official ceremony, Tan Sri Megat and Dato' Vijay Eswaran, the Executive Chairman of the QI Group officiated the appointment at the QI Services office in Malaysia in the presence of the senior management of the company.

Director of QI's regional office in Thailand, JR Mayer, presented Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, with proceeds gained from the sale of the FAO Agricola - H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej coin programme, in a ceremony held on June 18, 2009.
